The desire of the ladies of the Massucco family to carry on the realization of simple and genuine recipes invented and handed down by their Grand-mothers and Mother was generated by the memory of a former true country life and the love for traditions, lived in essential simplicity.
This is how Eleonora, Anna, Teresina, Rosella and Sabrina coordinated by Cristiana and Barbara started a nice adventure with “Cose Buone di Campagna” (Good things from the countryside) putting together traditional specialties in jars (the “barattoli”).
Respecting ancient recipes they make: cherries, apricots, peaches, pears, plums in wine syrup and jams, among which the “Cognà”, typical grape mustard recalling the sweet and sour taste of the must.
And then honey, the vegetables, the country hors d’oeuvres.
Preserved in the jar under olive oil also the “salami” (sausages) and the “tume” (typical Piemontese cheese) with the addition of tasty flavours: truffle, porcini mushrooms, spicy peppers.
The search for natural flavours is the main characteristic of the line “the first courses”: the traditional “egg tagliolini noodles” with truffle or porcini mushrooms and the sauces in several taste combinations, as well as the rice. Beside the jars, they also propose the traditional sweets in fancy packaging: the cookies- as good and simple as genuine things- the “Capricci”- chocolate covered toasted hazelnuts- and the cakes with hazelnuts, chestnuts or chocolate.
